I was watching GEO News
where news were about police operations with additional news that
criminals have now started looting the School Buses as well. I thought
why are they doing it and realized that they have no other expertise to
earn living. The only easy mean they have is to loot and eat and live
life.
With this; a thought arrived that do we have training and skill development centers in the jails? Wh ere criminals spend years of their life? If we could have training institutes and make them habitual of certain skill to earn their living in jail, they will have an alternate to earn life.
Female can do embroidery, stitching, sewing, handy-craft work, making decoration pieces and can hand over it to some department in jail, men can be given computer skills like website development, application development, soft-wares, other manual skills like making Crafts opening restaurants, Real Estate, Plumbing Service, Welding Service, Home Builder, opening shops, etc that are applicable for a common man. This way their minds would get busy in learning something constructive and empty mind won't be left behind to plan destruction.
Some people suggest that a criminal mind cannot be altered, to this I would say that criminal minded people are few that are a psychological case, the rest are disturbed due to unstable economical situations, lack of employment and constant pressures. With skill development, if all people cannot be cured, at-least it will help to cure 50% out of them? and even if 25% get cured, that would also be a great achievement?
Besides training, they can also have sessions in jails by psychologists to change their criminal thinking into positivity. Their minds would get busy in something to learn new, some thing positive, and gradually after years, they can come out as productive citizens, instead of carrying thoughts to continue crime. When psychologists can be hired to make a criminal agree and accept his wrong doing, the psychologists can be hired for daily sessions in jails to convert a negative mind into positive one as well.
Even Hypnosis can be used to delete the past destructive thoughts and the folder in mind can be replaced with a productive thoughts. This way Govt can hire a psychologist and a Hypnotist in each jail, and with regular sessions, we can turn destroyed minds into productive positive minds.
